| Primary School Programme |

Objective:

To create awareness among students on energy efficiency through interactive activities and games |

To ensure students understand the concept of energy efficiency |
|
|
To ensure students practice energy efficiency despite of acting as representative to disseminate information on energy efficiency to their schoolmates, family members and friends |
|
There will be 10 primary school programme to be carry out within year 2009 - 2010 in Peninsular Malaysia only. The programme will be held at a selected school of a particular area. Each participant will be given a programme kit, which helps them to follow through the activities. It is a half day programme and fully interactive.

The participants will have a clearer picture and better understanding on energy efficiency and the importance of it. Continuous assessment of the programme as well as information dissemination can be done through the SWITCH! website.

| Secondary School Programme |

Objective:

To create awareness among students on energy conservation through interactive activities and field work |
|
|
To ensure students understand the concept and importance of energy efficiency |
|
|
To ensure students practice energy efficiency despite of acting as representative to disseminate information on energy efficiency to their schoolmates, family members and friends |
|
There will be 12 school programmes to be carry out within year 2009 - 2010 in Peninsular Malaysia only. The programme will be held at a selected school of a particular area. Each participant will be given a programme kit, which helps them to follow through the activities. The secondary school programme is one day programme. The programme flow will educate the participants to audit their energy usage and plan on efficiency interactively.

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to breakdown their energy cost as well as have clear picture on energy efficiency. Continuous assessment of the programme and information dissemination can be done through the SWITCH! website.

| Public Talk |

Objective:

To create awareness among public on energy efficiency through presentation from various stakeholders especially to focus on grass root activities and also open discussion |
|
|
To ensure public understand better the concept and importance of energy efficiency and other policy matters |
|
|
To ensure participant to practice energy efficiency despite of disseminate information on energy efficiency to their family members and friends |
|
There will be 10 public talks to be carry out within year 2009 - 2010 in Peninsular Malaysia only. The target group of participants are from "maktab perguruan", university, members of society. The programme will be held at a selected hall of a particular area. Each programme is a half day programme.

At the end of the programme, participants should have a clearer picture and better understanding on energy efficiency and the importance of it. Being elder energy consumers they will also be able to educate the young consumers on energy efficiency. Continuous assessment of the programme and also information dissemination can be done through the SWITCH! website.

| Industrial Programme |

To create awareness among industrial users on energy efficiency through seminar and also group discussion |
|
|
To ensure industrial users understand better the concept and importance of energy efficiency and other policy matters |
|
|
To ensure industrial users discuss the problems they face in their organisation on energy usage during the group discussion |
|
|
To ensure participant practice energy efficiency and also to disseminate information on energy efficiency to their colleagues, family members and friends |
|
There will be 6 industrial talks to be carried out within year 2009 - 2010 in Peninsular Malaysia only. All industrial users especially users from manufacturing industry and hospitality industry are the targeted participants. Government agencies are also the targeted participants as they are also licensing and regulating agencies. It is a workshop based half day programme.

Industries being the highest energy gulpers need a clearer and better understanding on energy efficiency. Their change in energy management is vital. They also host many consumers as their employees and their role in imparting the energy efficiency to consumer is seen as critical. Continuous assessment of the programme and also information dissemination can be done through the SWITCH! website.
